Our heart is right here in the South Carolina Low Country. We love the people, the landscapes, the local businesses, and the way we all help out in times of need. At Pleasant Landscapes, we are proud to improve the health and appearance of our neighborhoods through high-quality landscaping. From time to time, we try to do even more to give back to our community. We reach out to volunteer for the benefit of underprivileged people in our area.

Giving and volunteering are important to us because we have been incredibly blessed by our clients. Thanks to their loyalty and use of our services, Pleasant Landscapes has been in business for over 30 years. As a landscaping industry leader in the area, we feel it is our duty to use our talents and time to help others. That is why we actively participate in community service events that benefit local people and organizations.

Working Together to Serve Others and Provide for Their Needs

Pleasant Landscapes works with Industry COLLECTIVE to serve the greater community through volunteer projects. Industry COLLECTIVE designs practical community service opportunities for green industry leaders all over the country. The service projects are directly useful to local people and organizations, and they can easily be accomplished at our Pleasant Landscapes office site. At our last project, approximately 90% of our team plus some of their spouses participated in the volunteer service. This was a great way to boost our team spirit, drawing us closer together through work that truly makes a positive impact in our area.

Industry COLLECTIVE helped us organize a service project that involved packing different types of kits to distribute to people in need. We packed approximately 240 kits total. Half of them were sent to Lowcountry Orphan Relief and the other half went to East Cooper Community Outreach. These Industry COLLECTIVE kits include personal hygiene items. We are proud to be able to impact so many people through these terrific local organizations.

During our 2022 Industry Collective event, we packed 156 backpacks filled with school supplies, such as notebooks, crayons, pencils, and scissors, to start school in the fall. The backpacks were distributed to the Lowcountry Orphan Relief here locally. We appreciated and enjoyed the opportunity to benefit our local children in this way.

In 2023, we stuffed 164 backpacks with school supplies, including folders, binders, pencils, notebooks, paper, and more! The backpacks were again distributed to the Lowcountry Orphan Relief here locally. And we had the privilege of also broadcasting the event live directly from the Charleston Radio Group's parking lot, with the help of our friends at 92.5 Kickin' Country. Check out the video here.
